Sam Altman has pulled Microsoft, Nvidia, Oracle, AMD, Broadcom, and SoftBank into a series of massive AI infrastructure deals collectively worth over $1 trillion. The momentum began in January when SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son stood alongside Altman and former President Donald TRUMP to announce what is being billed as the largest AI infrastructure project in history.

Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, whose chips powered OpenAI’s rise, was reportedly incensed at being sidelined during the initial announcement. Within weeks, Nvidia privately proposed an alternative plan to Altman: cut SoftBank out and jointly raise capital to build the most extensive computing network ever attempted. The result was a $100 billion agreement finalized at Nvidia’s Santa Clara headquarters.

The scramble for AI dominance has intensified, with Altman brokering deals at a breakneck pace. The competition has pitted tech giants against each other as they vie for positioning in the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
